Wellbeing Activities Coordinator

£13.47ph, 20 hrs per week over 3-5 days, 6 month secondment/fixed term contract

We are pleased to announce a secondment opportunity to this new role. You will develop and deliver a new and broad range of wellbeing activities and skills-based groups in our Community Hub.

You will plan and deliver innovative and fun activities in the week and at evenings and weekends.

You will ensure services are tailored to meet individuals’ needs and promote independence and that the service meets financial and contractual requirements.

You will report into and work with the Training Café: Skills and Activities Manager to deliver activities and sessions like gardening, book clubs, movie clubs, coffee mornings and social groups. The activities will be based on what the people we support tell us that they would like to do, the skills they would like to develop and any social activities that they would like to pursue.

You will liaise with the people we support to find out what activities they want and plan a programme of activities around their choices. You will complete risk assessments prior to undertaking any activities.

You will have previous experience of developing and delivering a range of activities for people with disabilities and of involving clients in the planning, design, and implementation of services. You will have managed change and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You are a driver with access to a car for work use.

This position is currently funded as a 6-month secondment opportunity / fixed term contract but we are actively pursuing more funding for these activities and the expansion of the hub staff.

This role is subject to an enhanced DBS clearance.
