Watford FC star pays visit to Watford Mencaps Children’s Centre

Watford Football Clubs goal keeper, Scott Loach, took time out on Thursday to meet the children at Watford Mencap’s Afterschool Club. The children were delighted to meet a Watford star and Scott spent over an hour meeting and playing with the children.

Scott explained;

“It genuinely brightened my day to spend some time out with the guys. While we’re busy thinking about football all the time, it’s nice to switch off and appreciate the work that goes on in the community around us.”

Watford Mencap’s Afterschool Club provides children with learning disabilities 3 hours of play and care on week day nights, whilst also providing their parents with much needed respite. Watford Mencap needs to raise over £200,000 a year to keep its Children’s Centre running.

Watford Football Club are great supporters of Watford Mencap and in the past have supported their events and donated items to them.
