Esporta Health Club Welcomes Watford Mencap Volunteers
On Wednesday the 1st June, Esporta’s Riverside Health and Racquets Club, in Northwood, once again invited all of Watford Mencap’s volunteers to enjoy the clubs facilities free of charge. The day was organised to thank the volunteers for all their hard work and to celebrate Volunteer’s Week, which is an annual event to celebrate the fantastic contribution that millions of volunteers make across the UK.
The volunteers enjoyed a work out in the gym, badminton, having a coffee in the sun watching the tennis, swimming and relaxing in the Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room and simply. Staff at the prestigious club couldn’t be more helpful and made everyone feel really welcome.
The Riverside club have been very supportive of Watford Mencap for the last couple of years and recently they sponsored the charities 10k running event.
James Tetlow, who volunteers in Watford Mencap’s head office, mentioned:‘I’ve had a fantastic day. I went swimming and sat out in the sun enjoying my lunch. I’m look forward to next year.’
