Huge Haul From People Moving House

On Thursday 21st July, sales and letting agent Sewell & Gardner launched an innovative scheme to support Watford Mencap.

Piled up outside the Sewell & Gardner office in Rickmansworth were 30 boxes of goods, the result of ‘decluttering’ by their clients. Watford Mencap can sell these goods on Ebay and in their charity shops to raise much-needed funds for their services.

Jane Gardner, Lettings Director said “As a company we are very proud of our local community; we employ people who care about where they live & work!  Watford Mencap are situated next door to our lettings office, so we have been lucky to get to know the team and discover the tremendous work they do within the community.  We thought it would be a great idea to offer these ‘Declutter Boxes’ to our customers moving home, because we are often asked to suggest ways to dispose of all the stuff they have accumulated over the years in their lofts, cellars and garages! If anyone wants ‘Declutter Boxes’ to fill, please email us at charity@sewellgardner.com or call Reagan on 01923 721900.”

‘We are bowled over by the finds in these boxes,’ enthused Rose Kreloff, Watford Mencap’s Internal Services and Commercial Manager. ‘We have received books, curios, equipment, games, Brownie memorabilia and much more, which will all make money to keep our services going. Thank you to the brilliant team at Sewell & Gardner!’
