Barry ran the marathon in memory of his father-in-law, Ron Hutton, who died last November. Ron was a tireless fundraiser for Watford Mencap. Barry's Sister-in-law, Monica Hutton, is a resident of Watford Mencap's Hillside resendential home.
Another marathon enthusiast is Nicole Herholdt. Nicole is a teacher in the secondary department at Watling View School in St Albans, for children and young people with Severe Learning Difficulties.
She is signed up for the Edinburgh Marathon which takes place on 26/27th May.
Nicole decided to raise funds for Watford Mencap because of the support given to a lot of her students. She is hoping to raise as much as possible so that Watford Mencap can continue the excellent work in supporting individuals and families.
