Watford Council Chairman raised over £1000 for Watford Mencap
Cllr Scudder visited Watford Mencap Children's Centre twice during the year. She made biscuits with the children and also helped launch the Watford 10k. In her concluding speech she said that Watford Mencap was a 'marvellous organisation which provides very much appreciated services to the community, and their members, employees and volunteers are to be congratulated on what they do.'
Watford Mencap Funding Manager Veronica chamberlain, receiving the cheque, commented: 'It has been wonderful to be the Chairman's Charity, both for the money she has raised and for the recognition it gives our work. Thank you Lindsey!'
