Another Successful 10k

Thanks to the Watford Round Table, another successful 10k Fun Run was had by all.

The weather could not have been more perfect for a stroll in the park – or a run in this case.

Now in its 16th year, The Watford Cassiobury 10k Fun Run on May Bank Holiday has become a permanent fixture in many runners’ calendars.  It is also a great show of the local community supporting local charities.  Over 1500 people turned out to take part in the run, which includes the 3k and 1k Fun Runs for the youngsters.

The course was changed this year so that it stayed within the park and the nature reserve, with a small bit along the canal.  Due to some last minute changes, it was actually just under 10k but that didn’t stop all the runners enjoying the new course.  The winner, Andy Cracknell, said it was a much better route than the previous year.
