Watford Mencap's Secret Art Sale - this weekend!

Watford Mencap is holding their third annual Secret Art Sale!

The event will take place from 19th - 20th September at the Café in the Park in Rickmansworth Aquadrome, and we are inviting you to come along.

Artwork will be sold at £35 each or 2 canvases for £60, and will be displayed anonymously. Artwork has been donated by professional artists from the area, local people and art groups and people with a learning disability. The exhibition will also feature work from professional artists, Anna Grayson and Des Clark.

Anna says; Des and I lived in the Watford area for 25 years, but now work as artists in Devon. We have both been hung a number of times in Exeter's South West Academy and I have been hung in the Royal Academy, so we've been a bit of a success story. We still have ties in Watford and have been supporters of the excellent work done by Watford Mencap for many years. We've both donated work for this exhibition but won't tell you anything about it as it is a big secret!"

Last year, the exhibition raised £6,000 for the charity. The money raised helped Watford Mencap to continue providing their services to support local people with a learning disability in the local area.
