Ricky Pancake Race 2024
Date: Tuesday 13th February 2024

The race is always fiercely competitive, with enthusiastic spectators cheering on the teams. The rules are simple: it's a 4-person relay race, and each runner must carry a pancake in a frying pan. Participants must flip their pancakes at least once and finish their relay leg with the pancake still in the pan. The event features four heats, leading up to an exciting final race to determine the ultimate winner!
Residents and businesses are warmly invited to participate, either as enthusiastic spectators cheering on the teams or as active participants. Teams can enter the race by clicking the link below and are encouraged to set up a fundraising page on JustGiving HERE.
Last year we introduced the individual 'Fun Flippers' race to the event, and it was a resounding success. This addition made the event truly inclusive, with many of the people supported by Watford Mencap taking part and having a brilliant time.

All funds raised are crucial in supporting the 800 local children and adults with learning disabilities in Rickmansworth and surrounding areas. Watford & District Mencap provides a variety of services, including residential support, 1:1 advice sessions, afterschool club, outings, and much more.
