Learning and Leisure Role Description
Right Support Volunteer Roles
- Volunteer Driver
We are looking for volunteers who are car drivers to help us support people to a range of social and practical activities. We support people to go to a broad range of activities, groups and sessions. Often the transport could be the deciding factor as to whether someone can attend an activity. We have a range of roles, some volunteering within a regular pattern, some on an occasional basis. It would be an advantage if you are able to use your own car but we do have Watford Mencap cars that you could use, following a competency test. Travel expenses would be paid. This is a good opportunity to get to know and have a real impact on someone’s life for the better.
Children and Young People's Volunteers
We are looking for volunteers to support the Children and Young People’s Service staff team to provide fun and exciting opportunities to children and young people aged 0 – 19 with a learning disability at Watford Mencap Children Centre and various locations in the community. Minimum age for volunteering is 16. Click here to see our current opportunities.
For more information about any of the roles mentioned above please contact the HR Team on 01923 713 626 or email volunteer@watfordmencap.org.uk
